Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Here's how Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players can increase their max health and stamina to survive a bit longer in Hyrule.
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, having lots of stamina and heart containers will make Link's journey through Hyrule much easier. Stamina allows Link to climb surfaces, sprint, swim in the water, and glide through the skies. The more stamina players have on them, the longer they'll be able to perform these actions. As for heart containers, that, of course, lets Link take more damage without dying, giving players better chances at taking down tough enemies and bosses like Ganon. Luckily, Tears of the Kingdom players can get more health containers and stamina using the same method from 2017's Breath of the Wild.
Shrines are back in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. These were introduced in Breath of the Wild and are scattered around the map, offering players a mini-puzzle dungeon that can usually be completed in just a few minutes. A majority of the shrines are optional, but the reward for completing them is a Light of Blessing. These items can be used at special statues across the map of Hyrule to increase players' health or stamina.

Once players have acquired at least four of these Lights of Blessing, they can choose between a Heart Container or Stamina Vessel at the statues. It's up to the player to decide which upgrade they should go with. For example, if a player is new to the gameplay of Zelda or just action games in general, they might want to go with extra heart containers before choosing stamina, as it will keep them alive longer.
But for those that don't think they'll be taking many hits from foes, they can focus on stamina to let Link swim and climb and glide for long periods of time. Of course, players right in the middle can choose to upgrade both often to keep their health and stamina balanced.
Once players gather their first four Lights of Blessing, they'll be able to get their first extra heart at the Temple of Time during the Closed Door questline. Players can fast-travel back here to use the statue or seek out the other ones scattered around Hyrule.
Eventually, players will be able to exchange their hearts and stamina if they want one over the other.
Head back to the Emergency Shelter below Lookout Landing (the place players first start the game in Hyrule), and speak to the guard named Scorpis near the center --he'll open the hole up so players can enter an underground area. There's a normal Goddess Statue in the shelter, but if players crawl through the hole facing north, they'll end up in the Royal Hidden Passage.
When players go to the shelter for the first time before speaking to Purah and activating the nearby tower, the passage won't be open. We came back to the Emergency Shelter after completing some main story quests, and the path to the passage was open. We aren't exactly sure how it triggered.
Bomb the cracked walls to eventually find a statue with horns on it. The statue can take Link's hearts or stamina and will pay him in Rupees for doing so.
