'Spectacular' views of Northern Lights in Cork

Cork stargazers were lucky to witness "spectacular" views of the Northern Lights this evening.

The display, which was visible this Thursday evening, illuminated the sky - with many sharing their best picture of the aurora borealis on social media.

Gougane Barra Hotel in West Cork shared their view of the lights overlooking the lake.

Meanwhile in the Shournagh Valley, Michelle Fitzgerald was near the Blarney Golf Club when she snapped the lights.
