How to Get New Game Plus Resources

Entering Ragnarok's New Game Plus Mode unlocks access to five brand new Resources exclusive to this mode, used for crafting the utmost highest tiers of Equipment in the game. The five new Resources in New Game Plus are Skap Slag, Primal Flame, Mountain Roots, Celestial Fossils and Forsaken Breath. Similar to the Equipment they upgrade, these are always found in the same locations, and all of them are key to upgrading your Equipment all the way to Power Level 10.

Skap Slag is easily the most common of the New Game Plus Resources, as it's found for doing practically anything in New Game Plus.

Primal Flames are the rarest of the New Game Plus Resources, as they are only awarded for defeating Bosses or found in Legendary Chests associated with a lengthy Favor. They're used to upgrade the Axe, Blades and Spear, but unlike the Flame / Spark upgrades of a normal playthrough, Primal Flames can be used on any of them.

You can get Primal Flames in the following ways:

Mountain Roots are, next to Skap Slag, the most common of the New Game Plus Resources. This is because they are required to upgrade all of Kratos' Armor to Level 10. They are primarily found in Legendary Chests, but can be found in other places as well.

Celestial Fossils are the Resource required to upgrade all of Kratos' Elemental Weapon Attachments to Level 10, including Axe Attachments, Blades Attachments, and Spear Handles. They are primarily found in Legendary Chests, but can be found in other places as well.

Forsaken Breath is the Resource required to upgrade Kratos' Shields and Shield Attachments to Level 10, meaning they are the rarest of the five New Game Plus Resources. They are primarily found in Legendary Chests, but can be found in other places as well.
