The cups are the clue at this singles Traffic Light Party in Ballycotton
We don't exactly wear armbands going about our business and unlike in the olden days, being in a club or dance hall with just your friends provides no indication of your relationship status.
It can also be pretty daunting to approach someone out of the blue and if the opening lines on Tinder are anything to go by, we haven't gotten much better at it online either.
That's why the traffic light system in Sea Church in Ballycotton could come in handy on Saturday, February 11th (the weekend before Valentine's Day, FYI) – you may find your match without any awkward signals.
Here's how it works: "Each guest will be required to drink from either a green, red or yellow solo cup," said the venue crew on Instagram.
"Green meaning you are single, red meaning taken and yellow meaning ‘It's complicated’."
