Light the Night walk raises funds, awareness for blood cancer research
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Connecticut, Albany, and eastern New York chapter hosts the annual Light the Night Walk, bringing the community together to bring awareness to blood cancers.
All money raised during the event will go towards research, support, and advocacy for blood cancer patients and their families.
Two people were honored Saturday night -- Vance Speenburgh and Jack Salinetti. Our Greg Floyd was the emcee.
This year marks 75 years of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Light the Night walks have raised $1 billion since 1993.
