MDOT SHA To Begin Work On Thursday Night To Replace An Overhead Light On US 15 In Frederick
One lane and a shoulder will be closed.
Frederick, Md (KM) A one-mile stretch of southbound US Route 15 between westbound US Route 340 and the exit to eastbound Interstate 70 and Md Route 180 in Frederick will be closed later this week. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says the closure will begin on Thursday, June 8th at 8:00 PM , and continue until Friday, June 9th at 5:00 AM It will only include on single lane and the shoulder.
The contractor, Contractor Lighting of Lithicum Heights, will remove a damaged overhead light. This work will involve the use of a crane so that the travel lane and the shoulder will need to be closed so crews can safely complete their work.
MDOT SHA says Contractor Lighting will use cones, barrels and electronic signs to guide motorists through the work zone.
