Light the Night 5K raises money for Sean's House
Approximately 175 runners took part in the inaugural Light the Night 5K on Friday evening. The race, which began and ended at Delaware Technology Park, raised money for Sean's House, a resource center on West Main Street that is open 24 hours a day for youth battling depression or suicidal thoughts. Sean's House is named in honor of Sean Locke, a former University of Delaware basketball player who took his own life in 2018. Sean's father, Chris Locke, greeted each runner as he or she crossed the finish line Friday evening. Among the runners was a contingent of 73 students from the Newark Charter School Running Club.
