Interactive Mermaids To Perform In Resort's Lagoon-Style Pool

Disney World's Ariel has some competition. The Orlando World Center Marriott is introducing an interactive experience where mermaids perform in the resort's lagoon-style pool. Your kids will flip to know they can be part of the mermaid tale and have their pictures taken as they interact with these mythical creatures.

The evening includes a live poolside DJ with lights and music, face painting, themed arts and crafts, glowing beach balls and more. The event will culminate with a laser light show. The glow event starts at 7 p.m. with the mermaids splashing into the pool at 8 p.m. and is currently scheduled for the following dates: July 29, Aug. 5, Aug. 12, at the hotel's Falls Pool.

But that's not all. In March, the hotel celebrated the one-year anniversary opening of its River Falls Water Park. It features three inner tube water slides, a 575-foot-long lazy river, a patio with lounge chairs, cabanas and a refreshment station.

"We’re always collecting ideas from our guests to determine how we can take their experience to the next level," says Robert Bray, general manager at Orlando World Center Marriott. "Our goal is to create a one-of-a-kind experience that leaves a lasting impression for our guests."

The hotel also added Pitfalls BBQ & Moonshine, a quick-service dining outlet offering pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches, side options, moonshine drinks and craft beers. Renovations of the poolside restaurant, Falls Pool Bar & Grill and Siro, an Italian restaurant, also have been completed.
