As we head into the weekend and the start of a new week, weather forecasters predict a predominantly dry and sunny period for the country. High pressure is set to dominate the weather pattern, bringing with it mild temperatures and extended periods of sunshine. Although the east coast may experience cooler temperatures due to an easterly airflow, overall, it looks like a pleasant week ahead for most parts of the country.
Today, the day will be dry and sunny with a few patches of cloud developing in the afternoon. The highest temperatures will range from 19 to 24 degrees Celsius, with the southern coasts experiencing slightly cooler conditions. Light easterly breezes are expected throughout the day.
Tonight will remain dry with clear spells, but fog and mist patches may develop overnight in light easterly or variable breezes. The lowest temperatures will range from 6 to 11 degrees Celsius.
For those with concerns about pollen allergies, the pollen forecast for both Saturday and Sunday is high, so precautions should be taken for those who are sensitive to pollen. The solar UV index is also expected to be high over the weekend, so sun protection is advised for outdoor activities.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, it will be another dry and warm day with long periods of sunshine. Some patchy clouds may appear during the afternoon. Temperatures are forecasted to reach between 21 and 25 degrees Celsius, with light to moderate easterly winds.
The national outlook for the coming days suggests that high pressure will continue to dominate, resulting in mostly dry conditions and ample sunshine. Sunday night will be dry with clear skies, and temperatures will not drop below 7 to 11 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of fog patches developing in light easterly or variable breezes.
Bank Holiday Monday will bring largely dry weather with good spells of sunshine. However, some cloud development is expected in the late morning and afternoon, which may bring isolated light showers, primarily in the north. The east will experience milder temperatures compared to previous days, with highs ranging from 19 to 20 degrees Celsius in the north and east and 24 degrees Celsius in the west and southwest. Easterly breezes will prevail.
Tuesday and Wednesday will see little change in the weather pattern, with mostly dry conditions and plenty of sunshine. There may be some cloud cover at times, resulting in a few light showers, primarily in the north and west. Highest temperatures will range from 19 to 24 degrees Celsius, generally accompanied by light to moderate easterly winds.
Looking further ahead, the current indications suggest that the mild weather with sunny spells will continue for the rest of the week. However, there is a possibility of more showers developing, although the majority of the country should remain dry.
As always, it's important to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts as conditions can change. Enjoy the sunny and dry weather while it lasts and make the most of the outdoor activities available during this pleasant period.
